  • Story Content: Any stories, photos, or descriptions you post to the platform as a member.
  • Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Stripe provides us with a transaction ID and last-four digits for your records.
  • Communication Data: Messages you send to info@tap2help.com or through the contact form.
  • Usage Data: Browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent. Collected automatically to improve the platform.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your member account
  • To review and publish your posted stories
  • To process payments through Stripe
  • To send you transactional emails such as receipts, story approvals, and renewal reminders
  • To respond to your support requests
  • To improve our website and services

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Information Sharing

We only share your information in these limited circumstances:

  • Stripe: Your payment information is shared with Stripe solely to process your membership and plan payments. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order, we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations.
  • Business Transfer: If tap2help is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy terms.

Your Story and Public Visibility

Stories you post are reviewed by our team before going live. Once approved, your story may be visible to other members and visitors of the platform for the purpose of receiving assistance and donations. Do not include sensitive personal details in your story that you would not want others to see.

You may request that your story be deactivated at any time by contacting info@tap2help.com or through your member dashboard.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (such as payment transaction records, which are kept for 7 years for tax purposes).

Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including SSL/HTTPS encryption on all pages, secure password hashing, and PCI-DSS compliant payment processing through Stripe. No system is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable precaution.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in while you use the platform. We may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the member portal may not function correctly without them.

Age Requirement

tap2help.com is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately at info@tap2help.com and we will remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and notify active members by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
